What makes SPACE different?

Do I need to pay a deposit?
No. We don’t require a tenancy deposit, making it easier and more affordable to secure your room.
Do you offer flexible payment plans?
Yes. We offer a range of flexible payment options, including instalment plans that align with student finance where eligible. Our team will help you choose the option that best suits your circumstances.
Do you accept international guarantors?
Yes. We accept approved international guarantors at no additional cost, making it easier for overseas students to book with confidence.
Can I share my studio?
Selected studios offer free dual occupancy, allowing two people to live together with no additional rent, subject to eligibility
Are you pet friendly?
Yes. Approved indoor cats and selected small dog breeds are welcome through our Pet Licence Scheme, with no additional charge for approved pets

Absolutely. We offer both in person and virtual viewings so you can explore SPACE before making your decision.

What facilities are available?
SPACE has been designed around the student experience. Residents enjoy a fully equipped gym, exclusive resident sauna, indoor sports hall, stylish study spaces, private dining room, resident lounges, The Social café and pizzeria, secure parcel collection, bike storage, laundry facilities and a complimentary shuttle bus. What is The Social?
The Social is the heart of the SPACE community, serving specialty coffee, breakfast, pizza and fresh food throughout the day. It’s a place to meet friends, study, relax and enjoy exclusive resident discounts.
Is there a shuttle bus?
Yes. Our complimentary shuttle bus operates throughout term time, making travelling between SPACE, the University and key destinations around St Andrews simple and convenient.
Do you organise events?
Yes. Our resident experience programme includes welcome events, fitness sessions, wellbeing activities, competitions and seasonal celebrations designed to help residents make friends and feel part of the community.
Can I study on site?

Subject to availability, early arrivals can often be arranged for an additional nightly charge. Contact our team as early as possible so we can help with your travel plans.

Yes. Team members are available 24 hours a day to provide support whenever it’s needed.

Residents can report maintenance through the SPACE Resident App, allowing our team to respond quickly and keep them updated.
Do you have an on site maintenance team?
Yes. Our dedicated maintenance team is based on site, helping resolve issues efficiently and maintaining the high standards residents expect.

Can I renew my room?
Yes. Existing residents receive the opportunity to rebook before rooms are released more widely, giving you the best choice of accommodation.
Can I upgrade my room?
Where availability allows, we’ll be happy to help you move to a different room type.
